Winner of the Ghastly Award

Deadworld: War of the Dead series that was released in August and followed by the trade in October, won the Ghastly Award for Best Mini-Series of the Year.  The Ghastly Awards are presented each year (as voted on) for the best in horror comics and are amed for acclaimed comics creator "Ghastly" Graham Ingels.  

Sami Makkonen, the artist of War of the Dead received a nomination also for Best Artist.  

The mini-series of War of the Dead was also nominated as Best Mini-Series in the Shel Dorf Awards and the Comic Monsters Awards and picked as the "mini-series" of the year by horror blogger, Decapitted Dan.

IDW has the next Deadworld series scheduled for the summer of 2013 with creator/writer continuing with artist, Sami Makkonen.
